Welcome. It´s Denisa here today with some extraordinary grungy album. Not too big in size and not exactly what one would expect the album to look like. Still I believe there´s something about it. Her´s a simple tutorial on how to make such project.

Since I wanted to keep it as simple as possible I went for the basic colour combination of black and white with a bit of beige and some muted reddish tones. As the embellishments I used various stitching and sewing. More irregular the better. I also added some wire wreath on the cover. All pages were splattered with black and white acrylics to achieve the dynamic look. Inside every double page there´s a small sewn envelope and some chippies.

This time I didn´t use much mixed media on the project. The reason why I did so was the beautiful paper pattern that  I wanted to be still visible. I used the brand new 7 DOTS STUDIO Dreamscapes collection.

Hi!!!
Here is a small Christmas card !!!
I painted the background with the Acrylic Paint "Art Alchemy Metallic Royal Red"!

I used a stencil with my black Versafine ink! Then another stencil with a mixture of 3D matte Gel and mica powder gold !!

All that I had to do, was to glue down: my big flower Prima and its leaves, a chipboard from Creative Embellishments, badges from Cuts2luv, and other small embellishments !!!

Hello again!

Today I wanted to paint a portrait of an inspiring artist! I chose Frida Kahlo.

I started with a piece of mat board and used clear gesso to add layers of collage with old book page and sheet music. Then, I added some white gesso to push back some of the collage and added some texture with modeling paste/stencils and the Prima brick stamp. To finish up the background I added blocks of color with Art Alchemy paint and then I was ready to begin sketching and painting the face!

To add additional texture and interest I also attached some Prima flowers, chipboard and lace. I wanted the flowers to be a bit more bright and colorful so I used Prima Confections “Tropicals” to “dye” them and it worked marvelously!
