Flea Market frame by Anastasia Kuznetsova

Hello! Anastasia with you today. I want to show you a picture from my trip to sunny Georgia. Wonderful, hospitable country, where I want to return someday. This photo was taken in Tbilisi. I processed it in a photo editor, to achieve sepia effect.

Generally, my work began with the frame. I bought it at a flea market in Tbilisi. I was insanely inspired by its color. It is so large and voluminous, so the composition needed to be large and very multilayered.

For background I have chosen the 7 Dots Studio paper. Although it stopped being visible after applying all the layers, it gave a tone and easily withstood all layers of paint. Antique Brilliance Wax, Clear Crackle Paste and Rust Effect Pastes gave background a vintage touch.

Wooden box by Anastasia Kuznetsova

Hello! Anastasia Kuznetsova is here! I want to show you a banker in the style of a mixed media. Before that, I only made boxes of cardboard, and then I took as a basis the real wooden workpiece.

To make the texture of the flat workpiece more interesting, I crumpled the paper-tissue and glued it to the clear gesso. Next, I used a flower mask and a transparent crackel paste. Of course, you could have used a mastichine without a mask, but I wanted to play.

Next step I applied the modeling paste through a stencil with numbers. Then I used sprays.

There is a little secret in the work. As a finishing coat, I used new waxes. I'm just in love with it. It gave a light color, an amazing delicate shine. And most importantly, it helped create a protective finish layer, because the wax after drying does not react with water and fingers.

I hope you liked my idea. Bye everyone!

* * * * * *

Hi everyone! My name is Nadya Drozdova and I am so exited to be a Guest Designer. Huge thanks for invitation, it is a big honor for me.

The mood board is very rich and magic so I decided to make a canvas with black background and bright accents. I was inspired by ethnic theme and palette.

To make background I used bits and pieces of Dusty Attic chippies and black gesso with different paints. Dream catcher is UmWowStudio chipboard.

To make my creation brighter and metallic I covered it with different colors of Inka gold. I wish you all good mood and a lot of inspiration!

Hugs and kisses,
Nadya

A card in a box by Cindy Brown + video

Hello Dear Creative Souls

Today I have for you a box and a card, that fits in it. I came across it by searching the shop - this product is wonderful! wow! I love it. At the bottom you will find also a video from my creative process.

I started by assembling the box and adding papers and tags from 7 Dots Studio. I added stickers and chipboard pieces. Then I played a little bit with the metal flowers, I adore, and brads.

I added some texture with crackle paste and made some splashes with Twinkling H2O. I repeated the process on the card plus I have added two badges. Usually I do not create cards but I love this one. Enjoy a video.
