Xmas in Blue

What are your Christmas colors? :)
Today, we have Linda presenting her creative cards ideas in blue.

Hi, guys, Linda here and as you can see, I am getting ready for Christmas.
Today I would like to share with you some of my Xmas cards and tags.

I used my Cameo to cut out the stars, then they were altered with gold embossing.

To create the blue/green background, for my base I used a 200g watercolor paper without any texture.
First, I used pigment inks mixed with water and two different stencils with stars patterns to create the first layer.
Then, I used some mists and sprays to add an extra layer. The last layer is splashes of Glimmer Glam.
I've used the background I created on two cards with a black background.
As for the tags, I used a circle punch and cut the circles out of the background paper I prepared and used a Dymo for the sentiments which gave the final touches to both cards and tags.

Thank you for looking!

Night Meets Day

We can always count on Kasia to share her passion and remind us how versatile and exciting art journaling can be.
There are no limits to your creativity there...

Hello! Kasia here to show you a little bit of what I love most - art journaling.

As you surely already know, an art journal is a perfect place for all of your creative experiments.
Art journal does not require anything specific - you don't have to plan composition, colors, put a photo, do journaling etc, but of course you can if you want.
And that is why I chose my art journal to try combining cold and warm colors by creating two individual pages and connect them with one technique.

The left page is painted with Silks, Glimmer Glazes and Glimmer Glams in orange, red, yellow and copper.
As a primer I used Heavy White Gesso from Art Basics line.

The right page is in deep blue because of the sprays and paints in colors like Autumn Nights, Sapphire, Raven (Glimmer Mists), Blue Suede Shoes (Glimmer Glam), Precious Stone (Color Blooms) and other beautiful names.
And to prime this side of my spread I used Heavy Black Gesso. But before I started coloring I prepared my texture using Modeling Paste and many different Art Ingredients glued with Soft Matte Gel.

And as for the final effect... I must say I like it, because I realized that two different color palettes can work together very nicely.
And it's true that the most exciting moment is when they meet together.

ATC box | Pudełko na ATC

I love Artist Trade Cards. Today I would like to show you an ATC box. It is made of white cardstock. First I made a background using Distress Inks from Spring set

Uwielbiam ATC. Dziś chciałabym Wam pokazać pudełko na ateciaki. Zrobiłam je z białego kartonu wizytówkowego. Najpierw powstało tło - użyłam wiosennego zestawu tuszy distress.

When I work with distress inks, there are three  absolutely necessary tools for me :) Non-stick craft sheetInk Blending Tool and a heater (I use Ranger Heat It). I put non-stick craft sheet on my table and I am not afraid of any stains :) Ink Blending Tool helps me to create a smooth colour transitions. And a heater makes my work much faster :)

Gdy pracuję z tuszami distress, używam trzech absolutnie niezbędnych narzędzi :) Specjalnej maty non-stick craft sheet, aplikatora do tuszy Ink Blending Tool i nagrzewnicy (kocham Heat It Rangera:)) Kładę matę na stół i nie boję się już, że go poplamię. Aplikator do tuszy pomaga mi stworzyć płynne przejścia między kolorami, a nagrzewnica bardzo przyspiesza moją pracę.

I used also stamps and Archival Inks to create a blackground. I have added also some splashes using coordinating colours of Distress StainEvergreen BoughPeacock FeathersShaded Lilac.

By stworzyć tło, użyłam także stempli i tuszy Archival. Dodałam kilka kleksów pasującymi kolorami Distress StainEvergreen BoughPeacock FeathersShaded Lilac.

For 3D effect I used some Double Sided Foam squares.

Dla uzyskania efektu 3D użyłam gąbeczek dystansowych.

Glass cabochon was mounted using Glossy Accents, which is perfect medium for glueing glass, metal or plastic.

Szklany kaboszon przykleiłam za pomocą Glossy Accents, które idealnie nadaje się właśnie do przyklejania szkła, metalu i plastiku.

A little frame in front of the box was die-cut using Sizzix Tag&Bookplate die. I coloured it using Distress Stains Evergreen Bough and added a touch of Glimmer Glam, in which there are small, sparkling particles. Small dew drops on a flower was created using glossy accents.

Mała rameczka z przodu pudełka została wycięta wykrojnikiem Sizzix Tag&Bookplate die. Pokolorowałam ją  Distress Stains Evergreen Bough i naniosłam Glimmer Glam, w którym zatopione są małe, połyskujące elemenciki. Kropelki rosy na kwiatku stworzyłam używając Glossy Accents.

I coloured even a ribbon, to create a little bit worn look. I used distress ink. When it dried, I tied it in a double bow.

Pokolorowałam nawet wstążkę, by stworzyć lekko postarzony wygląd. Użyłam tuszu distress. Po wysuszeniu zawiązałam ją na podwójną kokardkę.

If you liked my ATC box, there is a chance of winning it with some ATCs inside - visit my personal blog for details :) Have a nice evening :)

Jeśli podobało ci się moje pudełko na ATC, możesz mieć szansę na jego zdobycie, wraz z zawartością odwiedzając mój prywatny blog. Miłego wieczoru :)
