Never look back by Nadya Drozdova

Hello everyone! Here is Nadya again with my inspiration this month. I made a grungy canvas using some rough elements and also adding some soft ones, like flowers. I like complicated compositions and very often I cover almost whole background that I prepared. But I like the mixed media process, so I know that there is somewhere deep in my project very nice background that is covered with pile of different elements :))

I used Prima flowers, Dusty attic chipboard and Mitform castings. You will find the whole video process below.

Altered clock by Martina Stoycheva

Hello everyone!
Last summer I went to my late grandma`s house and collected all kind of different naturally old and vintage objects. I found so many things. I even found a spoon which was exposed so much on the outside conditions, that when I tried to bend it, it broke.  I made canvas with it last year.

One of the things I took was this alarm clock and today you can see how I altered it.

Below you will find my video tutorial:

Hugs, Martina.

Art-journal cover by Eirini

Hello dear Mixed Media Place fans!!

It's Eirini here today with my new handmade black art journal, presenting you the cover. It's a little bit experimental art-journal, that's why i tried to make my own handmade cover. Always watching that beautiful Finnabair creations, i couldn't resist trying to experiment with acrylic paints and mica powders.

At first I covered my page with black gesso then glued Scrapiniec chipboard pieces and other embellishments and covered everything again with black gesso. Finally I stamped and embossed everything with Lost and Found 7 Dots Studio clear stamp (bubbles).

I played with Prima metalic emerald green acrylic paint and mica cooper powders plus silver acrylic paint to achieve shining effect and extra dimension on my page. I sprayed everything with white mist to add brightness and covered some areas with white gesso using my fingers.

I distressed edges with black jet StazOn to soften color differences and placed my flowers and other embellishments ( 7 Dots Studio stickers from Destination Unknown and Verano Azul collections, pearls, micro beads etc)

Some final touches was done with Platinum Liquid Pearls and that's it!!

I hope you liked my first black art journaling cover and I delivered some inspiration for you. Keep crafting and creating !!!
