Fate loves the fearless by Cristin

Hello again! Today I wanted to play around using repurposed materials! I grabbed a piece of cardboard and started by wrapping it with ribbon. I had some chipboard "leftovers" from 3rd Eye "Anatomical Hearts" that I broke into pieces and glued down with some glossy accents to add some texture and depth. Once dry I added a shabby layer of white gesso. I call it "shabby" because I didn't really take time to make sure that everything was covered. I did this purposely because I wanted it to be a grungy project.

After the gesso dried, I went in with Prima's Dot Grunge stamp and stamped randomly throughout. Then, added some color with Lindy's Stamp Gang spray in "Ponderosa Pines Olive" and Distress Stain Spray in "Walnut". I love that the Lindy's sprays dry with such depth!

I also brushed in some mica powder in "Rust" and Perfect Pearls "Forever red".

At this point, I decided it was time for some acrylic paint so I brushed in some Art Alchemy Metallique Steampunk Copper to finish off the background.

Next, I tore some strips of paper from an old vintage book and glued them down with some more glossy accents. I took care not to glue down the pages completely as I wanted them to look shabby also. I spritzed the pages with a little bit of the Distress Spray Stain in Walnut to make them appear even more aged... then I also glued down a metal embellishment, some Prima flowers, black glitter, a piece of lace, a Third Eye Anatomical Heart and a piece of ephemera.

To finish it off, I added "Fate Loves The Fearless". That's it! I hope you enjoy and take inspiration from today's grungy project.

I have been always connected to nature. It gives mi energy, when I am tired. It answers my questions and this connection has been always very important to me.

Sometimes I like to use an object, I gather during walking. This time it is bark of a tree.

Noel

Single Ephemera Card and magical piece in place!
Christmas not always have to be in red, green and gold, it can be vintage, unique and simply stunning!
This is a must see from our talented Athanasia.

I found this beautiful card in Finnabair's Ephemera. I thought that the theme with the angels was so cute to make something for Christmas. I decided to make a simple cluster under the angels and not cover them with any paint. I glued the card on a white cardboard, and distressed the edges with the Vintage Photo distress ink.

For the cluster I glued with 3D Gloss Gel a Mechanical Flower at the bottom, then a flower lace, then a 2 Crafty chipboard star and last on the top a Mechanical Bottle Cup. I also used a star brad to secure the bottle cup on the star.
I used White Heavy Gesso, 3D Gloss Gel, Mica Powders (green and opal magic blue) and several Art Ingredients like Micro Beads, Flakes and Glitter to paint and alter all these elements.

At the underside of the star I hanged a cute tassel with a tiny bell that actually sounds when it's moving! How cute is that?!
I really love how it's hanging under the composition :)

In order to make a hanger I used wire. I made a couple of holes with cropadile, twisted the wire around the holes and secured it with a tiny star brad. I also tied a ribbon on the wire to decorate it.

For the tittle I used a sticker with the word 'NOEL' from the  7Dots Studio Yuletide collection.

I hope you got some ideas on how to decorate a single ephemera card :)
Have a lovely crafty day!
