If You Want To Be Happy...

... Just Be, adds Marianne. :)
Or better yet - grab a canvas, your favorite colors and create your own little work of art!

I love beauty around me and I love small bits and pieces of beauty.
That’s why I make a lot of small canvases, place them all around in my home. Some also end up as gifts for my friends that I know appreciate my art!
For this little canvas I have used my favorite colors (as I often do) - blue/teal tones. Love how it turned out!

This time I have made a small canvas, 15x15cm.
First I gessoed the whole canvas with Art Basics Heavy White Gesso and after it was dry, I covered it with Black Gesso.
Next I used bits and pieces of papers and tags from 7Dots Studio Thoughts Keepers collection, glued with Medium Matte Gel.
After the whole canvas was dry, I used some Ranger Color Wash sprays (Terra Cotta and Stream) + some Silks Bolivian Blue.
I also used some Prima/Finnabair Teal Mica Powder in random places.

I decorated the canvas with a mix of Prima Junkyard Findings faucet wheels, Mechanicals gear and leaves, some metal findings from my own stash and some chipboards and different flowers from my stash.
I glued and covered all of it with Gel Medium and started to color the elements with the same colors as the background - Color Wash sprays, Silks and Mica powder.  Added some Black Gesso in random places.

When everything was dry, I stamped some of the cool background stamps from 7Dots Studio Cold Country collection and the new Bubbles stamp from Prima/Finnabair.
Finished it off with some lines drawn with a Licorice Gelato crayon (on the tags in the background) and some splashes made with watered down Black Gesso.
