Jolly by Marina Ignatova

Hello, fans of paints and pastes! Marina Ignatova is here and I am happy to welcome you!

Have you seen our January moodboard yet? Snowy and incredibly gentle. It's like it's filled with love. I already did one project on it, you could see it in the main post of the challenge. But this pastel pink palette does not come out of my head.

I had no choice but to succumb to the impulse of creativity! So this frosty wreath was created. And even though the holidays are long over, I'm already thinking about the decor of the next Christmas in pearl shades)))

First, I cut the base out of cardboard. Painted it by mixing several shades of impasto paints. I applied a texture paste through the stencils. Complicated the background with texture paste white crackle and sprays.

The composition is based on natural materials: cones and walnuts. I pre-washed and dried them, then covered them with white gesso. Generously added various flowers to the decor.

Then I went through the elements of the decor with acrylic paints, so that they acquired a pearly glow.

And in the end, I added toppings and glitter, because the beauty lies in the little things!

Thank you for being with me! Inspiration and enjoy your creativity!

Ocean Blue - By Georgie C

Hi folks

I’m here sharing with you today a mixed media layout I have created using 7 Dots papers.

I used Brain Freeze paper from the Cotton Candy range for the background piece. Then applied various mini Prima stamps with blue, black and grey Archival ink to the background.

Using the bubbles stencil from Finnabair I lightly sprayed Glistening Waves Color Bloom spray, holding from a distance to lightly build up bubble definition. Then, turning the stencil over I used the remaining ink that landed on the stencil and pressed into the paper to create another cool pattern.

For the next stencil, I used 7 Dots Stars Stencil, using Light Paste and adding WOW black glittering embossing powder over the top. Heat dried so the powder melted on top of the paste

Then I mixed up Finnabair’s Modeling Paste with Deep Waters Archival Ink, and whilst still wet I added Micro Beads and Mini Art Stones for extra sea-worthy texture

Once my stencilling was done, I used Destination Unknown 7 Dots papers in 6 x 6 to build the background for my photo to sit on, adding in Scrapiniec pieces, more Deep Waters Art Alchemy paint, glass glitter and mini art stones. I also added some Mechanical pieces and enamel dots for extra interest to the page.

Here are some more close ups:

That’s it from me for today, hope you enjoyed and do come back again soon  to see more gorgeous inspiration from my teamies.

With Warmest Wishes
Georgie

Our story by Eirini

Hello everyone!!!
It's Eirini here again, another hot, hot day in Greece, trying to create and catch up beach life too... Today, i have a vintage canvas for you with my favourite photo from Cold Country, 7 Dots Studio paper collection. I wanted that collection so much, that as soon as i got it, i created the below canvas.

At first i used white Heavy gesso by Prima with some stencils too. I have added embossing powder (several colors like golden, black, brown, white etc.) glued down with soft medium, some 7 Dots Studio new collection chipboard pieces, Fortune-teller fancy background and some Scrapiniec too. Then some Lindy's moonshadow mist, Prima white Color Bloom and some Magical powders. I stamped with Finnabair and 7 Dots Studio stamps and distressed the edges with brown Ranger ink. I embossed and cut out some gold  Finnabair butterflies and added some metal embellishments. I decorated my canvas with that lovely vintage couple photo, added some glitter and that's it!!

I wish i become that "vintage" with my husband one day too... So that my kids could watch us and say, what a wonderful lifetime they had!!!
Have a nice summer day and wish you a creative summer season....
Love you xoxoxox....
