September challenge

Hello Mixed Media people :)

September is not Autumn yet, but also not Summer. Hanging somewhere in between can give us sunny, warm days but also cold, windy and rainy ones. It is possible, that we can go for a long, pleasant walk, basking your face in a sun, but equally possible is that you spend the whole free day wrapped into warm blanket with a cup of tea or coffee, looking through the window onto the wet, rainy world. So here it is - our this month moodboard is a reflection of both :) Make your choice :)

Our design team created projects inspired by our moodboard:

Hello Mixed Media friends! Our new moodboard inspired me with wonderful colours and beautiful images!

I created mixed media Hamsa featuring both colors and some of the images.
To create the background I used the Musica Tissue paper, Alcohol Inks and White CracklePaste mixed with Art Alchemy Metallique Deep Waters.

To create the composition, I gathered chipboards, metal embellishments, flowers and fabric lace.

After Assembling everything and after letting it dry I added Gold Micro Beads and Copper Glass Glitter.

Last step was adding a layer of dry brush with Heavy Gesso - White .

Looking forward to see your creation inspired by our gorgeous moodboard. xoxo

 Mixed Media Place Supplies:

Hi everyone!

Today I’d like to show you my last project for Mixed Media Place. It was an extremely creative year for me with wonderful products and incredibly talented people. Fortunately, this is not the end of my adventure with Finnabair media;))

The project based on September MMP moodboard that is full of greenery, but also beautiful shades of brown, leaves and natural elements. This climate definitely appeals to me. Today I made a mini tenement house on a base with a stand and a whole bunch of various accessories. There are both metal additions and HDF decors, pieces of cotton fabric, glass cabochons and between them textural paste, which perfectly fits the gaps.

I glued all the elements with Heavy Body Gel, which is definitely my favorite. At the very beginning, most of elements were lightly covered with white gesso and after drying I created a composition. Then I could color the dry whole. In addition to acrylic paints, I used beautiful waxes that gave a metallic finish and delicately highlight some elements. Finally, small dots of white and black acrylic paint.

Hugs,
Kasia Salmanowicz
