Hello dears!
Ola here. Today I'm going to show you how to alter a simple wooden heart shape to a cute home decoration, using Sculpture Medium and cotton fabric.
I found this shape in some local Dollar store, but I'm sure you can do it with any wooden shape.
First I wrapped the shape with cotton fabric stripes, using Sculpture Medium to make some gathers on the fabric and to glue it. Then I covered it with a Heavy Gesso White, diluted in water. I like to work with it in this way. If you dilute the Gesso in a water, you can cover any dimensional surface much easier.
After drying I added the embellishments and colored the project with Prima - Color Bloom mists and Art Alchemy paints.
You welcome to watch the video tutorial, which I prepared for you.
Mixed Media Place supplies:
Love.
