Intuitive Tags

Today we have a true embellishments extravaganza for you! :)
Some people say "less is more" but it's such a great feeling to play with all the pretty trinkets on your desk, wouldn't you agree...?

Hello Mixed Media Place Friends.
Do you remember about our current Creative Gym challenge? Kasia challenged us to try Intuitive Painting and you can still play along, the details are HERE.

Well, I was right out of my comfort zone, just splashing paint on, very quickly, without thought or planning, just letting it “flow”. Oh, it did feel good and I loved the look of my tags at the end, as fantastic colourful backgrounds to build on.
This is definitely a great way to start if you are confronted with a blank page or canvas and just do not know what to do or where to start.
Anyway, these colourful little tags sat on my desk begging me to “dress” them, so that’s what I’ve done.

I have added texture and pattern with some stencils, Art Basics Modeling Paste and Art Extravagance Texture Paste in Copper Crackle (you can see it below, applied through checker stencil).

Then came all sorts of embellishments: Mechanicals, stamping (stamps from 7Dots Studio Nature Walk collection), fabric, string, cotton, wire and Finnabair Elementals Resist Canvas.

Art Basics 3D Matte Gel holds everything down just perfectly. And Art Ingredients like Glass Beads and Glass Glitter add perfect finishing touches.

Some flowers, some stickers - why limit yourself, right? ;)

  2. Your backgrounds are truly beautiful on their own, but you dressed them up with 3 great compositions--a weak point for me, for sure! Love all the goodies and so perfectly placed to compliment each other and the background.
