Hello Sweeties,
I
hope that you had a great time during this summer.
Today, I want to
share with you a summer photo of my son taken a long time ago. He was
only 1 year old. Every time he saw the sea, he started running like a new
born turtle toward it.
We were on the top of the Dune du Pilat (the
highest sand dune of Europe) and the photo was taken just at the moment
when my son discovered the sea. I can tell you that a little boy on his knees "run"
faster than two adults on their feet. We were half way down the Dune before we were able to catch him...
To
make my background, I applied a thin coat of gesso that I colored
with some Twinkling H2O. Then, I stamped randomly around my page and around the gesso I applied. I used various colors: white gesso, teal chalk ink, black Archival ink.
To recreate the sand in the photo, I added some
microbeads and to finish - some splatters of black gesso and Izink here
and there.
In order to add a rust effect to the gears, I colored them with Ginger Peach Silks.
I first covered the chipboard with gesso before coloring it with the same colors I used on the background.
