~ No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. ~
It's not a secret that I love 7 Dots Studio products. :)
This time I decided to work with a Nature Walk collection and make a cute simple tag.
I used a beautiful delicate "Cotton" paper and stamped it with stamps from the collection. Then I added chipboard frames and covered them with Gelatos and a little bit of Silks paint on top.
I like to mix different types of media and layer one over another. That gives me a lot of possiblities and different effects. Fun!
As always I used die-cuts and stickers with a foam tape - that makes them pop and creates a dimensional look.
I usually use white flowers and alter them a little with inks or paints. This time I used Prima chalk edgers to give a little definition to the edges of the petals. My flower has small yellow dots in the center, so I made some more yellow dots all over the tag with my favorite Claudine Hellmuth paint. "Nature Walk" is very neutral so adding a bit of color makes it more interesting.
I wanted to show you that working with media doesn't always have to be all messy, gessoed and textural. :) Sometimes it feels good for me to use media in a more elegant and paper-based way.
For me, it's always about having fun and playing with media according to my feelings. :)
