Chasing Winter Away

What is the best way to chase the winter blues away?
Colors, dear readers, colors! And lots of splashing, stamping, stenciling and all our very favorite mixed media magic.
As proven by Kasia today. :)

Hello! The page I want to show you today is one of the sample works that I made in January during my classes in France. Mixed Media Place was one of our sponsors so we had the possibility to work with many amazing paints, pastes etc.

 

It was "Make it your way" class so the most important thing was to create background using only media. We worked without patterned papers this time. This is one of the most exciting classes for me as I really love seeing how wonderfully my students' blank pages are turnings into amazing layered small pieces of art.

What you can see here are many layers of paints, layers of stamping, stenciling and some crazy splattering of course.

 

Creating work with so many bright colors is always a good idea, especially when there is no sun outside. So if you have had enough of snow, or rain, or you are just starting to hate winter I can tell you that for me, working with colors is always the best remedy.
