Hello Everyone!
The cover of my new art journal is finished. Of course, it's a bit steampunk style. :D
First I glued on AB Studio chipboard gears, and then I covered them with white gesso. I applied white crackle paste.
After that I glued metallic flakes on it, I chose Moscow.
I smeared it with liquid violet acrylic paint and sprayed water on it to give it a pale shade. I really like that it's such a deep tone, but I wanted a light background to make the metallic flakes stand out.
For even more shades, I applied metallic acrylic paints, a combination of silver spoon and white pearl.
I applied gesso to the mould elements, then raven black sparks acrylic paint.
I toned down the shine a bit, using antiquing ash grey and soot waxes to achieve this.
I supplemented it with Finnabair metal products. I applied ash grey and brushed iron waxes to the metal elements. Last step I stamped.
I hope to inspire you.
Love,
Marietta
