Hot air balloon by Marietta Tegi

I am honoured and delighted to be part of the MMP design team. Looking forward to an exciting year. Today I'm showing you the first work that I’ve created here. Steampunk is one of my favourite styles, so I made a hot air balloon in this style.

I put an old bicycle bell on a mould base, greased it with Black gesso, and then I applied Rust and Blue Patina effect paste. To soften the intense blue colour a bit, I used Burnt Sienna liquid acrylic.

I applied White gesso and White Crackle paste to the upper area, using both brush and sponge, for a more textured surface. I then glued on the mini gears and chain. Gold Rush metallique paint, Burnt Sienna and Ink Black liquid acrylic were applied all over. Finally, White Gold and Old Silver wax with grainy embellishments.

Hope I will inspire you. If you make something similar share it with me.

Hugs

Marietta
