What a day by Marina Ignatova

Hello creative souls!

In the midst of a golden autumn, I wanted to return to bright juicy colors and create a couple of holiday cards. The cards have a very interesting complex background.

The cards have a very interesting complex background. If you are interested, I will tell you how I created it))

First,I covered the paper with clear gesso, then used powdered pigment and water to create a base for the background. The paper became bright and expressive. Stamped with clear ink, baked powder for embossing.

Complicated the background with black ink stamping.

The background is clearly not enough volume. So I mixed the texture paste with Mica Powder and applied it through a stencil. In some places, Impasto Paint was applied in the same way.  Without removing the stencil, impasto went over the top with Opal Magic paint to create a flickering effect.

This way you get a very beautiful and simple background)

Inspiration to you friends!
