Hello  everyone !! My name is Claudia Pompilla but in social media I'm also callled Noura. I'm very excited to be a Guest Designer :)  I'm from Perú,  I'm 27 years old  I live in Lima (the capital) with my husband and my little girl. I discovered the crafting world in 2015 but I also spent almost a year watching videos and also finding a way to obtain a little bit of the material, I love flowers, textures, colors and abstract art, I do a little bit of everything Layouts, canvas, etc. I love Mixed Media, for me it's not just a hobby anymore, it's a lifestyle.

I was inspired by a beautiful moodboard that I saw. What drew my attention immediately was the drop of water in shimmering lights. And that flash of light, which I found so magical, reminded me of an anime cartoon that I used to watch as a child, called Sakura Cardcaptor. Those were good times, which bring back in me lots of nostalgia. The Sakura character had a magic wand with a star on it and also had wings, and that's what made me think about making a canvas with the colors of an autumn forest and I made the focus point a star with wings.

I started by giving it texture with tissue paper and afterwards I covered it with gesso. I applied white crackle paste to some parts and once the paint dried I filled the spaces with a rich turquoise metallic paint. After all this, I covered everything with brown orange acrylic paint. To decorate my canvas I added some chipboards that were painted with black gesso and Inka gold.

To make my focal point I used some Finnabair metal embellishment, vintage clock face and barn stars and I decorated the gem with a little bit of ceramic around it, with some small rocks and lastly I added some copper micro beads.

I hope I've given you a little bit of inspiration, have a great day! Noura
