Design Team change

We would like to announce the change in our Design Team. Anna Rogalska decided to step down the team (due to personal reasons). We all send good vibrations to Anna and we wish her all the best and only positive outcome!! <3

Because of stepping down the team by Anna, we started to look for a new designer. The result is, that there are two new, talented designers, that we welcome in our team - Nadya Drozdowa and Arantzazu Sangrador. We are very happy, that both ladies agreed to join us - they will inspire you beginning from June. And now they will tell you a little bit about themselves :)

Hello everyone! My name is Nadya Drozdova,  I am 29 years old. I live in Tallinn, Estonia with my 7 years old daughter, my husband and black maine-coon cat. I am so excited to be a part of such a great team! I started to work with paints and mediums one year ago and since that time I just adore mixed-media. My own style I call "Light and romantic“ because I love using flowers in my creations. But sometimes I like to do something on the black background with bright colors and metal elements. I hope that my creations will be interesting and inspiring for You. Hugs, Nadya

Hi everyone! My name is Arantzazu, I live in Bilbao(Spain). I'm a mixed media lover! I love creating backgrounds, giving them texture and above all color! I would have said before that layouts were my favorite project but right now I prefer to experiment! I do not care about the support if I have a great background!

If you have some time, maybe you would like to leave a warm comment for both ladies, to encourage them and send them some good vibes...
Have a great day!

My name is Galina Stepanova, I live in Russia, in a small town. I have scrapbooked for more than 4.5 years and it seems I will not stop :). The main inspiration for me is always my daughter, and also beautiful papers and all kind of paints :). I create different objects and in different styles, but my favourite two are mixed media and shabby.

Thank you very much for the invitation, I'm very happy to show my work on your wonderful blog! It's just a dream! :))

I was inspired by a beautiful bright moodboard palette and flowers. And the result is canvas with flower fairy :).

Products I have used available in Mixed Media Place:

If we are talking about paints,  I used mostly Magical from Lindy's Stamp Gang.

The keeper of the earth by Juliya

Hello dears! It's Juliya here. I would like to share with you my fairy layout.
I really like to do such work. There was an idea to make "the keeper of the earth". The photo was found on pinterest, to her came a sheet from the collection of Fortune Teller. And the fairy tale began ...
My stories always begin with the Gesso Clear. I put it only where I'm going to play with the texture and sprays. Then there is a layer with a stencil and paste. I select them depending on the photos and ideas. Here I have a Modeling Paste and two stencils. Light and fine painted on the right side to maintain airiness. Heavy and large on the right, he is the basis.

Dark colors, rusty elements, plant elements ... all this supports my idea and photography.

Embrace The Journey by Denisa Gryczova

It´s been ages since I´ve done an album. So here I am today with my latest one. A bit different than usual. Not much mixed media because I wanted the awesome  paper pattern to be visible. Actually, there´s no gesso on it. Just a little of Art Alchemy Acrylics.

For the base I used gorgeous Domestic Goddess Collection by 7 Dots Studio. I made a simple album sized 12,5 cm x 12,5 cm with pockets (inside double pages aren´t glued on the top).

When working on the cover I started off with a random circle drawn with a palette knife. When the acrylic was dry I added a purple spray here and there. Next I applied another Art Alchemy Acrylics. Then I started to embellish the page.

I went for an unusual fabric and wire cluster. I did some random stamping on it and sprayed it with sprays. The metal elements were painted with acrylics. I also used a twig, a vintage pic, washi bits, some pearls and a chain to add some interest.

As the final touch I did some acrylic splashes and glued on the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!
Denisa
