Follow Your Curiosity

Today we'd like you to meet the fourth wonderful new member of our Design Team!
You've already had the chance to meet and admire first projects from Athanasia, Janka and Fran.
And today, we'd like you to welcome lovely Marianne.
You can see more of her amazing Art on her blog and also make sure you learn some more reading our short interview. :)

I cannot believe I’m writing this post, but it’s true! I am one of the new members on this fabulous team! So thrilled and honored to be chosen to create for Mixed Media Place together with such amazing artists!

For my first post I chose to make an art journal spread in one of my old books. In fact, it's a children's book that belonged to my father.

My best time in my craft room is when I can make some art – just for fun – without thinking. Let my fantasy and juices flow without any boundries.

I started the pages with a layer of Gesso from Ranger and also a coat of Gel Medium.
After the pages were dry, I just played around with paper bits from 7Dots Studio Dreamer collection.

Then, it was time for some stamping - I used stamps by 7Dots Studio Cold Country and Illumination.
Too add even more variety, I added some stencils, for example the Squares stencil by 7Dots Studio.

I used three colors of Archival Ink: Orange Blossom, Viridian and Watering Can.

I used Distress Stain for some splashing and Gelatos that are perfect for accenting the details.

For some black splashes I used black Claudine Hellmuth's acrylic paint mixed with water.

All the words I used come from stickers from Thoughts Keeper collecion.

I hope you'll find my pages inspiring and let yourselves play a little, too! :)
