Hello dears! Ola here. Today I've prepared for you a Steampunk style creation on wooden panel, using Rust Effect pastes and Art Alchemy waxes. I called it "Steampunk Princess" :). And I have a video tutorial of whole process and my voice instructions.
To create an imitation of old iron plates, I first cut a lot of chipboard squares in different sizes. Then I glued them to the panel keeping some spaces between them. I primed all the surface and the elements with a Heavy Black Gesso. Next I added all chipboard pieces on the background and colored with Rust Effect Pastes. I played with the pastes until I got the look that I like. Next I added my Character to the creation and colored with a several metallic colors of Art Alchemy waxes.
