Mixed Media Gift Bags by Georgie C

Hi there!

I’ve not experimented recently with larger die cuts, so I thought it was about time to again! Mixed Media Place sell this amazing mini bag die (In The Bag) which is perfect for mini treats for friends and family – just think little homemade chocolates at Christmas, mini eggs for Easter and decorated Halloween style with little goodies to celebrate the ‘haunting’ season. Plus the bag is a gift in itself too!! I’ve now even had my mum ask me to make up a batch of these with for the jewellery that she sells at her little magpie stall…

Anyway, here I decided to have a play with the 7 Dots Homegrown collection. I just LOVE this collection and 7 Dots is always a joy to use. All those little extras that come with the paper sets, perfect if you love mixed media or simply like layering papers.

The paper is beautiful, strong and holds itself perfectly for this kind of treatment as well as heavy mixed media layouts.

I used elements from the Tags sheet, the Stickers sheet and the Elements sheet to create layers and of course to create a base for some mixed media. Also, can’t forget the words! 7 Dots has some of the best collections of feelings, quotes, words to come out of the craft industry!!

I used some of those gorgeous Izinks, and those little glass bottles feel so luxurious to hold, like they have little magic art secrets within – perhaps that is just me but they are amazing work with. The bottle and dropper really help control how much you need to use, plus…you seriously avoid any colour contamination – this is sooooo ideal if you are a messy crafter!

Of course, some metal elements.. the little stars! How cute are they?!!! Plus some Glass Beads and a few sequins on each, for some sparkle and glamour!!

Thank you so much my lovelies for joining me today and I hope you find some inspiration!

Be happy!
