Little Fairy under the Giant Sunflower'- matchbox art by TandiArt

Hello Arty Souls! Sylwia here with my little-Big project:) Little as the matchboxes I used for it are small size but I put lots of energy, time and yummy art supplies to turn them into art piece;) I used a mixture of Ecoline paints which are watercolours and Art Alchemy paints-acrylics. I also used my beloved Art Atones and my hand-curved stamps;) I hope yo will enjoy this photo-tutorial and that you won't throw any matchboxes away;)

I started with covering boxes with Heavy Gesso, two coats!

Then I added some collage papers and Elements from new 'Homegrown' collection by 7 Dots Studio. Then I added gesso again to soften the background.

The next step was to add gently some colour with Ecoline paints (watercolour) and Art Alchemy Paints. Even though they are different type of paints, they work together very well. It is just important to remember that Ecoline paints react with water differently ;)

I also added Art Stone for more texture and put some Ecoline on top of them, which created beautiful and vibrant 'grass' :)

Then I used new stencils by 7 Dots Studio to add some contrast.

The next step was to create the giant flower;) I covered Mechanicals with heavy gesso and then I painted it with Art Alchemy paints. As for blue part, I dipped cheese cloth in turquise Ecoline.

I glued the elements together with Havey Body Gel Medium by Prima.

As for my second matchbox I used the stamp I curved myself;) I love making my own stamps:) They are not perfect but  unique;)

And there they are my little Fairy under the Giant Sunflower;)

I hope you enjoyed the projects:)

xx
