December challenge

Hello :)
It is almost the end of the year. Was it good year for you? Have you done what you had planned? Have you been happy? We always hope that new year will be better than the previous one. So let's hope for the same :) Above moodboard could be inspiration for giving ourselves some treats too and maybe it will help you to brighten your day.

To join our challenge you can create any type of project you wish - ATC, layout, card, canvas, off the page project, collage, art-journal spread and more. Just please let yourself be inspired by our moodboard.

Inspiration from our Design Team:

Hi everyone! December is perhaps the most festive month and now all my thoughts are only about the holiday and New Year's decorations. So our beautiful December moodboard inspired me to make a set of vintage stars for a festive table or mantel shelf.
I decided to use braun, white and a little pink for my work. For vintage effect I used Texture Paste Clear Crackle and antique brilliance Mystic Turquoise(it's a unique product - beautiful blue on dark surface and old brown on light surface).

As brown I used the Steampunk Copper acrylic paint  which give muffled shine. To get a semi-transparent layer I mixed it with water.

I prepared a video tutorial for you. Enjoy!

Hello, Everyone! Yellow, orange and red associated with autumn leaves, so I decided to make my last project  with  autumn theme in  this year. Also it is my firs attempt to make art journal spread. I took my lovely stuff: some Prima marketing color bloom sprays, Finnabair mixed-media products, Dusty Attic chipboard, 7DotsStudio sticker quot and Sizzix  die-cuts and one very inspirational photo.

I hope you like the result))

Hello dears!
For this month challenge I have created a Winter themed home decoration. As a base I used a wooden frame of the circle canvas. I just detached the canvas from the frame :). For a background I used a negative from snowflakes chipboard die cuts.

I applied a lot of texture to the frame using Stone Effect pastes, covered everything with a White Gesso, added all the embellishments, glitter and Snowflake paste. To add a bit of red shading to the project I used Artisan Powder with a water.

Hi lovelies, I just adore a fabulous Christmas mood board, and these colours inspire so much festivity. Pic I used lots of Finnabair mediums for this piece to bring it to life. I wanted a lot of texture and and neutral tones with just a hint of colour.

I feel it stands out more and pops from the background. The base was used made up of crackle paste and acts as a great adhesive. Some Lindy’s sprays for neutral gold colour and a touch of wax in places too. One of my favourite ingredients is the snowflake paste and this was great for building that texture as well as helping ground the focal pieces. I love how it has such an organic quality as well as giving that touch of sparkle when it dries.

I did use quite a bit of sparkle in the form of Finnabair glitters, beads and waxes, for some shine! Pic Pic Pic Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and can’t wait to catch up with you all in the New Year. Hugs Gee
