Dream On

Amazing process of journaling by Gayle left us speechless.
Stamping, mixed media, collage all in one amazing make!
This is a must see creation.

Hello lovely Mixed Media Place friends.
Here is an art journal page featuring some of Finnabair’s beautiful new stamps.
Stamps of course are perfect for art journals as they can add lots of interest, pattern and detail without adding bulk; and when you emboss with them, they can also add texture. Some texture also comes from my favourite product at the moment, art Extravagance White Crackle Texture Paste used through a Finnabair stencil.

No. 1 Gesso both pages. When thoroughly dry, add your stamp. I’ve repeated the same stamp 3 times….I love the intricate patterns and detail in this particular stamp and I wanted lots of it. I have also used a waterproof ink to stamp with, because I’m going to add wet medium over the top of the stamps. You may notice the strip of masking tape running down the middle of the pages……that’s to stop ink or paint seeping through the centre seem and soaking into other pages in the journal.

No. 2 Next I’ve used the Elementals Grungy Grid Stencil with White Crackle Texture Paste to add detail and interest as well as texture along the edge of the page.

No. 3 Now an image transfer using art basics Soft Matte Gel which works brilliantly for this process.

No. 4 Add some washi tape and some more stamps with white embossing powder.

Lastly add the colour……..Distress Spray Stains and water colour pencil.

Thank you for looking….have fun with your Finnabair stamps.

    1. Hi Michelle, the face is one I chose from a Pinterest site and I'm sorry I can't remember the specifics. I just type in 'Pinterest faces' then look through all the sites that come up. There are hundreds of 'beautiful faces' out there, just be aware of any copyrights with what you choose.
