art-journal z transferem | art-journal with transfer

My next PanPastel project is an art-journal page in my friend's - 2:16 - wandering art-journal. On the "cover" I applied a layer of gesso. To make the process faster, I used heating tool then. After it dried, I covered it with PanPastels, using a Sofft Tool. Last thing, I did, was spraying everything with a fixative, to make colors fixed.

Kolejna Pan Pastelowa praca to wpis do wędrującego artżurnala Drugiej Szesnaście. Na "okładkę" mojego wpisu nałożyłam szpachelką gesso. Następnie po wysuszeniu go nagrzewnicą, nakładałam aplikatorem - gąbką - poszczególne kolory. W celu utrwalenia całość spryskałam fiksatywą.

Inside I also started with gesso and then I made a transfer, using gel medium. After it dried, I applied several PanPastel colors. In places, where there was a gel medium, you can see how differently colors look - they are less "adhesive". If we do not want such effect to be visible, we can "prime" a transfer using fluid, transparent gesso - it is wonderful primer for PanPastels.

PanPastels are very soft, with creamy consistency. They are very easy to be spread and they fill all corners of the background texture. The effect is incredibly pictorial!
